Speed. Devices. Security. Done properly.
Three things every WiFi app claims to do. Most do them wrong — a fake speed number, a device list that misses half your WiFi, a “block” button that doesn't actually block anything. Here's how Veloxa handles each one.
The numbers that actually matter.
Most speed tests give you a headline number and call it done. Veloxa runs against Cloudflare's global edge network, measures five metrics simultaneously, and tells you exactly what's throttling your connection.
Measures how fast data flows from the internet to your device. The number that matters for streaming, gaming, and large downloads.
How fast you can push data to the internet. Critical for video calls, cloud backups, and remote work. Most ISPs throttle this.
Round-trip time to the test server. Under 20ms = excellent. Over 100ms = you notice it in calls and games.
Variation in ping over time. Low jitter = stable connection. High jitter = choppy calls even when ping looks fine.
Percentage of data packets that never arrive. Even 1% loss is noticeable in video calls. 5%+ makes voice unusable.
No warmup games
We skip the first 2 seconds of each test to exclude TCP slow-start. The reported number is your sustained real-world speed, not the burst.
One stream, accurate math
We use a single connection per test — not parallel connections that artificially inflate numbers. What you see is what you're actually getting.
History synced to your account
Every test result is stored and synced across your devices (Pro). Spot a pattern? You'll see it in the chart before you call your ISP.
Every device. No surprises.
Your WiFi has more connected devices than you think. Veloxa scans your LAN in under 5 seconds and shows every device — identified by vendor, IP, and signal strength.
We match the MAC address prefix (OUI) against our 30,000+ vendor database. You see "Apple iPhone" not "192.168.1.43".
Every device's local IP address and hostname, resolved via mDNS and NetBIOS where available.
Live signal level in dBm for each device on Android. −42 dBm = excellent. −75 dBm = you'll see buffering. iOS reports approximate strength.
Phone, laptop, router, smart TV, IoT device — we classify by vendor and hostname patterns. Smart fridges show up correctly.
Privacy-first scan
The scan works at the network layer only — we never read any traffic from the devices we find. We see that your Philips TV exists; we can't see what it's streaming.
Router vendor auto-detection
Veloxa identifies your router model and links directly to the admin page, login steps, and block instructions for your exact hardware.
Re-scan on demand
Tap the scan button anytime. New device joined while you were away? You'll know within seconds of opening the app.
Know the second it happens.
Watchdog runs silently in the background and sends you a push notification the moment an unfamiliar device connects to your WiFi. When you want to remove it, Block Guide walks you through your exact router.
Push notification with device vendor name and IP address the moment an unknown device joins. Tap to see its full profile.
Mark any device as trusted. Watchdog learns your WiFi over time — you only get alerted when something genuinely new shows up.
Tap any device and see exact steps for your router — router auto-detected from your WiFi scan. No generic instructions.
See how many scans Watchdog has completed today, your WiFi's uptime, and any anomalies in device count over time.
Alerts that respect your DND
Watchdog notifications respect your device's Do Not Disturb settings by default. You can optionally mark them as time-sensitive (iOS) if you need them through DND.
Router-specific steps
Over 180 router models supported — TP-Link, ASUS, Netgear, Huawei, and more. The guide shows your router's actual admin interface steps, not a generic walkthrough.
iOS and Android differences
Android runs a continuous 24/7 daemon. iOS is system-limited to a 5-minute background refresh cycle. Both tell you what's on your WiFi — Android just checks more often.
iOS and Android aren't the same. Here's what differs.
iOS restricts background processes more than Android. Most differences come from Apple's system policies, not app design choices. We document them honestly.
